General maintenance helper
Job Description
Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, the general helper performs maintenance tasks related to the cleanliness of premises, entrances and common areas. In the context of COVID-19, the helper is also responsible for ensuring the disinfection of the premises. He / She will also have to assist the maintenance department during the execution of simple tasks related to the preventive maintenance of machines and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks related to the cleanliness of premises, entrances and common areas such as:
- Cleaning of bathrooms;
- Cleaning of cafeterias;
- Cleaning of sinks;
- Parking lot maintenance (collection of debris in summer, put ice in winter, etc.);
- Filling of hand papers, toilet paper, soaps etc.;
- Empty garbage cans and take out garbage and recycling bins.
- Ensure the disinfection of the premises and the filling of disinfectant products according to internal protocols related to COVID-19;
- Assist maintenance technicians during preventive maintenance of machines and equipment;
- Any other related tasks related to the maintenance of the premises and machinery
Education
- Have a sense of organization and be resourceful;
- Manual dexterity and detail oriented;
- Ability to handle heavy workloads;
- Good communication and team spirit;
