Human resources assistant ( temporary contract : 6 months)

Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and executing the recruitment process and provide general administrative support in the monitoring of day-to-day HR activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment cycle :
    • Drafting/posting of job offers on different websites;
    • Screening and selection of candidates and conduct pre interview by phone;
    • Coordinate interview logistics with hiring managers and assist them;
    • Manage pre-employment process ( reference check/ criminal record);
    • Drafting of employment contracts and opening new employee files;
    • Onboard and integrate new employees
  • Review, draft and update job descriptions ;
  • Sort, file and maintain employee files;
  • Participate and support HR dept. in diverse projects such as “Programme de francisation”, occupational health and safety files, employee surveys etc.

Job qualifications

  • Must have 6-12 months of recruitment experience of positions in manufacturing industry (machinists, quality control inspectors, deburrers etc.);
  • Relevant education/training in human resources management;
  • Microsoft office knowledge ( word, excel, powerpoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple files/projects;
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual : French/English ( Spoken and written)
Employment conditions : Monday to Friday, 40 hours / week. Flexible hours. Temporary employment contract of 6 months
