CNC Machinist
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Production manager, the CNC Machinist is responsible to perform complex machining operations by using a Lathe OKUMA.
Responsibilities
- Operate and setup CNC machines;
- Loading and unloading of materials;
- Read and interpret work instructions from blueprints, manufacturing process sheets etc.;
- Loading of program into CNC machine;
- Monitor operating of the machine to ensure proper program performance;
- Ensure machining of complex parts as per specifications;
- Verify conformity of machined parts using instruments such as micrometers and calipers;
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Job qualifications
- Technical diploma in CNC machining, or any other training and experience deemed equivalent;
- Between 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role; Experience in OKUMA lathe;
- Bilingual (French and English - Ability to ready and interpret English work instructions);
- Advanced comprehension of operations on CNC machines and G&M codes;
- Available to work on an Evening shift;
- Evening shift: 3:15pm to 11:15pm – Additional 2$ premium per hour
