CNC Machinist

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Production manager, the CNC Machinist is responsible to perform complex machining operations by using a Lathe OKUMA.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and setup CNC machines;
  • Loading and unloading of materials;
  • Read and interpret work instructions from blueprints, manufacturing process sheets etc.;
  • Loading of program into CNC machine;
  • Monitor operating of the machine to ensure proper program performance;
  • Ensure machining of complex parts as per specifications;
  • Verify conformity of machined parts using instruments such as micrometers and calipers;
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.

Job qualifications

  • Technical diploma in CNC machining, or any other training and experience deemed equivalent;
  • Between 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role; Experience in OKUMA lathe;
  • Bilingual (French and English - Ability to ready and interpret English work instructions);
  • Advanced comprehension of operations on CNC machines and G&M codes;
  • Available to work on an Evening  shift;
    • Evening shift: 3:15pm to 11:15pm – Additional 2$ premium per hour
